The products offered are Navel Oranges and Ruby Red Grapefruit in 9 kg (20 lb.) or 18 kg (40 lb.) boxes.

The crop is harvested from early November to mid February. To obtain the highest quality fruit, we concentrate on the 3 first weeks of harvesting, which dictate the delivery period.

Traditionally, deliveries are scheduled between mid November and the first week of December. Generally, the fundraising committee sets up and starts promoting in September. In October, the troops continue promoting and collect orders. By the first week of November, the selling is done and you confirm the required quantities with us.

On delivery day, the semi-trailer and our representative arrive at your site. Volunteers unload the truck and set up a distribution counter where orders can be picked up, usually within 24 to 48 hours. The payment to EDREC CITRUS must be made seven days later.

We suggest a selling price, but ultimately, it is at your discretion. The prices we suggest are competitive and make the product easy to sell.

The prices are established mid September every year and are affected by 3 factors: the price of the fruit itself, the transport cost and, the US $ exchange rate. Currently, all 3 factors are completely volatile but affect all importers.

These prices can generate up to $10,000 of profit per truckload when we consider that historically, 60% of sales are Navel Oranges and 60% of sales are 20 lbs boxes.

The sale of fruit is not subject to federal or provincial taxes and thus permits a better cost-benefit ratio.
